Is it a tool for me?

Professional Profile 2 is a personality questionnaire that analyses an individual’s preferences, motivations and values at work. Professional Profile 2 provides an in-depth analysis of a candidate’s personality profile and professional aspirations based on fourteen fundamental aspects of the human character. The assessment combines values, motivations and personality in order to enable recruiters, employers, HR professionals and psychologists to accurately assess the fit between a job and a candidate.

Professional Profile 2 measures seven opposing pairs of personality dimensions within the context of work. The assessment is based on established models of personality, like the “Five Factor Model” and the “Theory of Psychological Types”, as well as documented evidence on the value of personality measurement to organisational effectiveness. Dimensions represent an individual’s approach to communicating, conflict handling, coping with pressure, interacting with others, managing ambiguity, decision making and problem solving respectively.

How does it work?

Professional Profile 2 also measures seven opposing pairs of values and motivations within the context of work. These dimensions are based on extensive evidence highlighting the importance of values, needs and drives for employee success. Modern ways of working are more complex, fluid, integrated and demanding than roles of yesteryear. Employee engagement, work-life balance, well-being, career-management, cross-functional and cross-border team working are key issues facing the twenty-first century organisation (Cruise, 2011; Judge & Kammeyer-Mueller, 2012; Sonnentag, Kuttler, & Fritz, 2010; Stiglbauer, Selenko, Batinic, & Jodlbauer, 2012). Managers and recruiters therefore need to understand the value employees place on work, as well as their; a) commitment orientation; b) leadership orientation; c) task preferences; d) achievement values; e) teamwork orientation; and f) adaptability orientation.
